A: No, it does not have a spike on the base to stop it from spinning. I’ve had them on some kitchen cabinets for two years and have not had an issue with them moving or spinning.

A: No. You have to tighten them well and then straighten them if one gets turned. It hasn't been a problem since I made sure they were really tight.
