Q:What are the dimensions of the opening in this wall plate? Will it accept European style switches that have a 50mm x 50mm body size?

A:  This wall plate is designed for use with adorne switches and outlets only (devices measuring 1.8" x 1.8" on the body). The wall plate opening is approximately 1.875" x 1.875".

      A:  This item is the model number for the white wall plate with black backer, model AWP3GWH4. The white wall plate with white backer is model number AWP3GWHW4 and the color is referred to as "gloss white on white". Hope this helps!

                Q:How is the cover removed from the frame? It is not clear at all, and seems that prying it off will break the snaps.

                A:  On the bottom center of the wall plate, there is a small space between the sub plate and the wall plate cover - if you insert a flat head screwdriver there, you should be able to easily pop the wall plate cover off with a little bit of pressure. Hope this helps!

                  A:  Apologies for the confusion. All of the adorne wall plates are considered "jumbo" (please refer to the "wall plates" image with product dimensions). They will all work with the soft touch dimmer. We will get the inaccuracies on the product page corrected shorty.

                    A:  These do come with a metal plate for easy snap-on mounting. Just remove your existing switch/outlet covers and the switches/outlets themselves; screw in the Legrand Adorne mounting plate that comes with the new wall plate, wire your new Adorne switches/outlets and you should be good to go. I have them all throughout my home and they look amazing!
