Q:We have dug up sod then Layered weed cover over it and then covered the whole area with pea gravel. Is it safe to put a fire pit over top of the gravel with the weed control fabric underneath?

A:  If there is exposure to sun, there will weed. I recommend using the 3 mil black poly that people use for crawlspace

      A:  The purpose of a weed barrier is to prevent weeds from coming through the webbing. Placing this directly on soil will prevent the sod from rooting through this barrier to reach the soil. To answer your question, do not use this for preventing weeds from growing through the sod.
