A:  No, this does not have a non-slip backing.

A:  The back is not non-slip. It’s a smooth gray backing. We have two of these rugs in our office each under a separate desk, over hardwood floors. They’re kind of weighty so we haven’t had them slip around too much, they do slip a bit. But if you were going to use it as a runner in a hallway where people were walking over it you would probably want a thin nonslip rug pad underneath. I’ve been happy with these rugs, they’ve been very durable in our office under rolling office chairs, just FYI. Also, I spilled a whole cup of coffee on one of the rugs, took it outside, hosed it off, hung it to dry, it cleaned up nicely.

A:  The rug has a soft felt backing, It it recommended to use an underpad if the rug is not place under furniture to keep it in place.
