    Q:How do I clean (or replace) the plastic piece that guards the place where the ice comes out? Ours is covered with white gunky powder on the inside. Is there a way to replace it? Same with the orifice where the water comes out.

    A:  We regret the trouble you have experienced with this refrigerator. The description provided suggests mineral deposits from hard water. It is suggested to clean these components with white vinegar. This can take an hour or so, depending upon the severity of the buildup, but this should resolve the matter.

      Q:I am not getting any water to my ice maker--also have the default code Er 1F on the front panel--what does this indicate and how can I get water turned on to my ice maker. I turned switch to on---but no joy.

      A:  The ER IF code is indicative of a problem with the Icemaker Fan or its motor. This can potentially be resolved by allowing the refrigerator to thaw for about 4 hours, and then reconnecting it. If it does not, then the unit will likely require service.           Q:The refrigerator is too cold and freezes the food. I have it set on 46 Degrees Fahrenheit and food still freezes. The refrigerator is only a couple of months old.
