Q:Are the 2 grease filters in the front of Extenda vent (hidden when Extenda pushed in) removable for washing?

Answer This Question
A: We appreciate your interest in this microwave oven. It appears that the filters on the ExtendaVent are the only grease filters that are removable. The other set appears to be a heat vent only, with no filters involved.

Answer This Question
A: Hello Grammyp
Sorry to hear that you're having so much trouble with the condensation from the LG 2.0 cu. ft. Over-the-Range Microwave with Extenda Vent, Model # LMH2016ST.
Have you tried adjusting the vent speed to a lower setting so the steam is not coming out with as much force and has time to dissipate into the room before coming in contact with the bottom of the cabinets? Not that I question the professional Installers, but is there enough clearance between the microwave and the cabinets so the steam is not ruining your cabinets?
If the problem persists, please contact LG Customer Information Center at (800) 243-0000...IFV

Answer This Question
A: Our vent goes outside and we love the extended vent. Old microwave would steam up all over when cooking a large meal, this keeps front of microwave clean and upper cabinets also. Vents out of top of microwave

Answer This Question
A: The bottom is straight horizontal with a 1.5" protrusion on the bottom for the extendable fan and light unit. It reaches to within 2 inches of the back and 1/2 inch to each side of the unit. It is not slanted. It is straight horizontal.
