A: We do not recommend using the fire pit under a roof. See our warnings in the instruction manual:
• THIS OUTDOOR FIRE PIT IS FOR OUTDOOR USE ONLY!
• USE ONLY ON BRICK, CONCRETE, STONE OR OTHER MASONRY SURFACES!
• DO NOT USE ON LAWNS, WOODEN DECKS OR ASPHALT!
• KEEP THE OUTDOOR FIRE PIT A MINIMUM OF 10 FT. AWAY FROM BUILDINGS,
STRUCTURES, ANY FLAMMABLE ITEMS AND VEHICLES.
• NEVER USE UNDER LOW HANGING TREE BRANCHES, TRELLIS, OVERHANGS OF ANY
KIND INCLUDING COVERED PORCHES.

A: Any wood fire will eventually leave some soot behind on nearby surfaces. Also, the mesh dome still allows some live sparks to rise up with the smoke, possibly igniting easily combustible things overhead.

A: I would think that really depends on how low your roof is. The smoke we've encountered seems to hang lower to the pit, but then we are in Long Beach close to the ocean and generally have a breeze.

A: I'm guessing less than 10 pounds, I can (a 52 year old woman) pick it up and move it easily by myself
