A: On the "front" side there are slots for crimping 6- and 8-pin connectors. On the "back" side there is a slot for crimping 4-pin connectors (there's a close-up picture of that). I'm pretty sure that would work for RJ9 or RJ22 connectors, but I haven't actually crimped those myself.

A: No the wires need to be cut to length and inserted into the RJ45 plug to crimp. The wires do not protrude from the plug. I recommend a nice pair of electricians scissors.

A: No. This tool is strictly for multi-core, low-voltage network cable. It enables you to attach an Ethernet terminal to a Cat5 or Cat6 cable. Romex is for house wiring.
