A:  I have used it for crimping the positive and negative wires (4awg str) on my truck, so i would assume it will fit 6 awg sld, and certainly 6 awg str.

A:  I believe the packaging stated a rating of 600v ac/dc, but I would not consider these the 1000v ac/dc insulated item klein manufacturers. For more detailed info, i would refer you to their website.

The Klein Tools models that ARE Insulated, Rated protect against 1000 volts, have Orange Color-: They either have 1.Pliers =handle grips, 2.Screwdrivers =blade barrel tips through the handle, 3.Wrenches,Sockets,Ratchets,etc.=most of the shaft coated. Other Major Quality Brand Names also offer rated tools, they usually have a distinctive color that indicates feature.
