          A:  The round flat pieces attached to the wall are 11 inches apart in my case (outside measure). The arms adjust & mine are at 7 inches. They will adjust between 4 - 6 inches.

            A:  It's flexible...not fixed. Not sure of the maximum spread, but it swivels at the connection near the handle.

                    A:  Do you mean the distance between the bathtub faucet holes (sometimes called "spread")? This can fit a faucet hole spread between 3-3/8 and 8-1/2 inches.
