Answer This Question

A:  Hello. This alarm will have the same wiring harness plug but you will have to replace the mounting bracket plate, which will just take a screwdriver and a ladder. The I4618AC is still available as the I4618AC model 21030967 which will have the same wiring harness plug and the same mounting bracket plate.

    Answer This Question

A:  All hardwired alarms are required to have battery backups. You will want the P4010ACSCO model 21029893 with a 10 year built in back-up battery that you never have to change. After 10 years, you change the alarm.

      Answer This Question

A:  Hello. There is no direct replacement for your alarms. That being said, you can use any of the Kidde current hardwired smoke alarms to replace your older alarms. You will have to take down all of the older alarms before putting up any new alarms. You will have to change out and rewire the wiring harness plugs at each location. There are no adaptors for the wiring harnesses you have now. You will have to change out the mounting brackets at each location but that will just take a screwdriver to change out.

        Answer This Question

A:  Hello. There is no direct replacement for your alarms. That being said, you can use any of our current alarms to replace your older alarms. You will have to take down all of the older alarms before putting up any new alarms. You will have to change out the mounting brackets at each location but that will just take a screwdriver to change out. You will either have to change out and rewire the wiring harness plugs at each location or you can choose to use the KA-F2 adaptors to adapt the old plugs to our new alarms. The adaptors would plug into the old plugs and the new alarms would plug into the adaptors. This sku comes with the KA-F2 adaptors.

A:  Hello. This is just a smoke detector and not a smoke and carbon monoxide detector. That said, it uses the same wiring harness plug but a different mounting bracket plate. Changing out the bracket will just take a screwdriver and a ladder to change out.
