Q:My lights stopped working. They no longer come on. What should I check first?

Answer This Question
A: If all of the lights are not coming on the issue is probably with the transformer. If less than two years old the transformer is under warranty. Call 800-932-3343, ask for Laura. She can get a new transformer out to you free if under warranty. If outside warranty, go buy a new transformer for any outdoor lighting system rated for the current draw.
If a few lights are on and but then at one point all else are off, there is a short in one of the connectors. those connectors can be purchased after market very inexpensively and are simple to replace. Just Google Search Kerr Lights replacement parts.

A: Very easy... just have a small flat screw driver so you can remove the lense. Bulb just pulls out and push in

A: Replacing the bulbs is a super easy 30 second operation. The only thing you need to be careful of is the plastic boxes are not super robust and it is easy to damage if you aren't careful.
Wee have been very pleased with the product and it really adds an interesting feature to a paver patio, driveway, etc.

Q:why do the say they are not waterproof if you are putting them outside on patios?

Answer This Question
A: They don't need to be waterproof to work. However, when you install the lights make sure when you strip the wire that exposed copper is not outside the connectors.

A: It is not waterproof (as in, it can be completely submerged and still operate) but it is weather-proof, meaning rain and water can get on it and it will still work.

A: I only had it one day. I replaced old Malibu style lights. Works well and seems solid. A watt is a watt. 4x14 = 56 watts for 14 lights. Not an energy hog.

Q:Can you swap the bulbs for LEDs?

Answer This Question
A: You would need to know what you are doing and the cradle that holds the bulbs down would need to be modified or you would have to develop your own solution. It would not be an easy mod.

A: you can and I was researching the same. I couldnt find an LED that is not too white light. I wanted warm yellow. I called the manufacturer and they use T5 wedge. They tested LEDs but it doesnt fill up the light.
