      A:  Hi Matt, The shade is 5.5" high, then there's a 12" metal rod going up to the knuckle where height adjustment may be made with the cord. You'll probably need to leave at least 2" of cord, giving a total minimum pendant length of about 20" Thank-you

              A:  Hi KJD, We do have Wall Supports and Power Feeds available which hold the Rail at 7.5 in. from the wall.
