A:  Scott, Thank you for reaching out, I can answer your inquiry. This is a pop up function drain and you operate it by pressing down on the top cap to close, and then press down once more to open. A:  No, this is specific to a lavatory. A tub drain system is a much different design in that the drain body (strainer) is much more shallow and has male threads that correspond to the female threads of the waste assembly under the tub.

If you find an item is missing, you can contact the retailer directly for assistance. This pop-up drain can be used for a vessel sink - and works with standard hole opening of 1.75"

A:  It should, however the thread length is not one of the dimensions provided on the diagram so it may be wise to contact the manufacturer regarding that spec. Also it will depend not only on the thickness of the countertop, but also on the design (thickness) of the vessel sink that you have chosen (some vessel sinks need to sit on a ring that contains gaskets, this prevents stress between the to hard surfaces; glass and granite for example). You will need the thread length to be at least 1/2" longer than these combined measurements to assure that you can properly tighten the drain assembly
