Q:What size whole do i cut for the sink? And the faucet? How far of a space between the sink and faucet?

Answer This Question
A: Check the manual/ installation instructions shown online in the overview tab for the sink.
If you have the countertop made make sure that the measurements of the holes between sink and faucet are correct. Too far and you are washing your hands all the way ‘in the back’ of the sink.

A: These dimensions are totally dependant on style and brand. Nearly all faucets will fit within a 45mm (1-3/4") hole centered 2" from the backsplash. If installing on a granite surface a 45mm hole will work for the drain as well. For counter tops of other materials a 4" hole is recommended to secure the drain directly to the sink. The back edge of the sink is 2-1/2" from the faucet hole centerline.

A: Hi ja,
Thanks for reaching out. Our KCV-121 is designed to lay flat onto the counter and not intended to rest as a recessed (or semi-recessed) sink. We recommend a 5" diameter hole in your counter to ensure you have enough space for the concave washer of the drain to be pressed up directly against the bottom of the sink. We also recommend installing your faucet 2" to 4" inches behind the sink.

A: You can drill the hole for the sink any size that is a bit larger than the drain. It will be covered by the sink so it really does not matter.
As for the faucet, I would set the sink with the drain attached and then place the faucet where you want it. Then drill the hole the size that the
manufacturer of the faucet recommends.

Q:I have a 1.75inch hole and am not able to enlarge it to 5 inches for the krauss pop up drain. Can I just use another drain which doesn't need it?

Answer This Question
A: Hi Kaz1,
Thank you for your inquiry. Our pop-up drains when installed with a ceramic sink requires a larger hole size so that the washers can create an airtight seal. The hole size required can go between 3.5" to 5". We would not have another drain available for our ceramic sinks that would require a smaller size drain hole. If you have any further questions please contact us at 1-800-775-0703 or customerservice@krausua.com.

Q:What is the sink height? In one place, it lists 5 inches and in another it lists 3.75 inches - which is correct? I need to know the height from top of sink to counter (not top of sink to bottom of basin).

A: The outside height is 5''.

A: Hi DS,
Thanks for reaching out to us. The sink itself measures 5" from the base of the drain (under sink) to the top of the sink.
Also, the distance from the top of the sink to the base of the bowl (internal surface) is 3.75".
Hope this helps.

A: No, this model does not come with a brushed nickel drain.
by|May 6, 2023
A: yes it does.
by|May 6, 2023
A: Not to my knowledge. I used it with the chrome drain & a brushed stainless faucet. It looks great!
Given the height if the bowl, you barely notice the drain.

Q:Could this sink be installed on a vanity with a 17" depth? I see the sink is 14 3/4"...Would there be enough clearance for the faucet? Also how heavy is it? Could it be installed on a wood surface vanity?

Answer This Question
A: I installed two of these sinks on a 22 inch countertop and was able to put the faucets behind the sinks but it is tight. 17" depth will not allow enough space for faucet unless the faucet is coming out of the wall above the sink.
by|May 5, 2023
A: Our counter is 22” wide I think it would not work you need space for the faucet and it has to be tall to go over the sink and the support is essential
by|May 5, 2023
A: I purchased this sink and have it installed. 17" would not be enough room for the faucet install at rear of sink.
by|May 5, 2023
A: yes but it will leave a gap behind that will get dirty and hard to clean
by|May 5, 2023
A: Hi ksg06,
Thanks for your inquiry. We recommend a minimum of 4.5” from wall to edge of sink for faucet
placement clearance. At 17" it would be a very tight space. Oue KCV-121 also has a weight of 26.1 lbs. Please also feel free to call us at 800-775-0703 or email us at customerservice@kraususa.com with any questions. We’d be happy to assist you.

Q:1. Does this sink sit flat against the surface of the vanity so that the only cut into the vanity is for the drain?
2. How is the sink secured to the vanity to prevent moving?
