A:  It cannot drain straight through the bottom of the pedestal. The drain hole would need to be between the pedestal base and the wall. The bottom of the pedestal has a small hole to mount it to the floor, but not to receive a drain line, not to accomodate a p-trap.

The opening on the back of the R6386-0 is 3.62” and opens to 5.64” at its widest point in the middle. A:  You will need plumbing extensions. You will need supply lines for your sink and a p-trap connection to your drain (assuming both are in the wall and not the floor). For mine, supply lines needed to be at least 12" and the p-trap needed an extra 4" from the sink drain to meet the p-trap adapter.
