I am happy to assist you with your shower arm question. The 8987 Toobi shower holder can be used as a main shower arm, with the hand shower being the main shower head. Or, you can also use this as one function in a 2 or 3 function setup. You will need to have a transfer valve if it is going to be used in a multi-function shower setup. A:  Thank you for your inquiry. Yes you would be able to use the flipside with the 8987. It is the hose that fits in the hole, so you could use any handshower.
