Q:Do I need to pierce through the tub to install the railing? Thank you.

Answer This Question
A: No. I understand your question as I had to pierce the tub on my previous shower door install. On this one, you do NOT drill into the tub. You will apply some silicone adhesive to the shower door guide piece that goes in the middle and it is further held tightly in place by the cross rail at the lower front. It feels solid enough.

A: The outside door has clips on the rollers to keep the door on track. These two clips have to be straight up and down so that they do not rub up against the track. You probably need to have your contracter come back and adjust them. It might mean that the rollers will have to be adjusted slightly to move the clips or the metal retainer might have to be removed so that the clips can be adjusted to straight up and down. Very simple if you installed the doors.

A: There may be debris in your upper track, the wheels may be over-tightened, or you may be dragging the door on your tub. Easy fix either way.
