Q:For the slip connection, the installation instructions call for the copper tube to extend 4-3/4 inches from the wall. However, I can only get 4-1/4 inches of 1/2 copper tube to go into the spout. Please advise.

A:  Curtis, my name is Sarah with Kohler Co. I'm glad to answer your question. Unfortunately, 4-1/4" of tube would not be sufficient to attach this spout. It would require a 4-3/4" long tube. If you have any questions or need further assistance, please contact our Customer Service team directly at 1-800-456-4537. Thank you for choosing KOHLER.

    Answer This Question

A:  I used a 1/2-inch copper threaded on the wall flange side and fraught on the spout end. I had to use a small amount of tape to hold the clamp pieces in place then locked it in place with the set screw. Overall it's a nice piece of hardware for the money.

A:  We mounted this spout on travertine tile and it's great. I would think it would mount on any smooth surface material.

A:  Hi Lidia, my name is Sarah with Kohler Co. I am glad to answer your question. For a slip-fit spout, a 5/8" OD tube must extend 4-3/4" (12.1 cm) beyond the finished wall. For a threaded spout, a 1/2" NPT pipe must extend 4-3/4" (12.1 cm) beyond finished wall. Thank you for choosing KOHLER.

A:  No. The faucet end does not need to be threaded, you can use direct 1/2-inch copper pipe direct to the faucet.

Q:Is the length of this non-diverter bath spout 7 1/2-inches from the back (where it is placed against the wall) to the very tip? Or is the length measured on the curve of the spout? I need to know the exact measurement from the wall out in a vertical measurement. I want to make sure this isn't going to look too far out from the wall.
