We recommend a 2" perimeter (minimum 1-1/2") around the sink for installation which is not enough space for this sink. A 24" cabinet would be ideal. The rectangular sink K-5400 would fit your base. A:  We installed this sink into a white ikea 21 inch wide base cab (30” tall) that we “shaved” two inches off the back, making it about 22 inches front to back. This is the smallest dimension we could use to still accommodate a pull out on the bottom inside of the cabinet. I think you could get away with a 21” front to back cabinet. Unfortunately, I failed to tell my plumber about the pull out, so the trap is set too low to accommodate the pull out. We had this sink installed in a white quarts countertop cut in a “Banjo” design where the countertop extends over the toilet to form an eight inch shelf. I love the sink and banjo countertop together. Not everyone likes the banjo design, but I think it adds elegance And convenience. I am not able to provide photos. The problem we had was the cut out for the sink does not compliment the graceful “shoulders” of the sink perimeter. I was not in town when the sink was installed in our rental. I don’t know if the template was “off” or simply not included. If I had to do this again I would first talk to the countertop/sink installer to be sure he is well informed on how the cut should be done to properly display the lovely shoulders of the sink, which is why I bought this particular sink. That said, the counter top/sink installer should definitely be consulted to assure sink, cabinet and countertop all fit nicely.

A:  There is a Kohler label inside the sink, on the backside as you face the sink. It is not the three-dimensional label I have had on other Kohler sinks. Rather, it is the word "Kohler" stamped into the bowl. On two of the sinks I ordered, the word is clear. On the third sink, the word appears to be wearing off, although the brand new sink arrived that way.

A:  I just went to Home Depot to try to look at colors. They did not have any colors except white and did not have any Kohler color samples even though they are listed as a Kohler showroom. I did talk to a manager and suggest they get some. She seemed receptive to that idea.

A:  It should as long as there is enough width in your vanity for a 17 1/4" cutout, which is the width of our cutout.
