The KOHLER Fairfax Single-Control Kitchen Sink Faucet with Escutcheon - Model # K-12171-PB – comes with the large escutcheon (base plate) for 3-hole sinks. The escutcheon is essential for installation and proper operation of the faucet. Model # K-12175-PB has a small escutcheon for 1-hole sinks (see page 3 of the Installation Guide: http://www.homedepot.com/catalog/pdfImages/fc/fc1871e0-2eea-405d-986c-a3cfdbe8948b.pdf).
