    Q:I currently have a whirlpool tub (no shower) in my bathroom. I want to remove it and have a 5ft. tub with shower installed. Are they all deep. We are seniors and would like a tub with standard depth, a nice shower and a shower door installed.We currently have a tile front and side wall in place We would need to have a back wall constructed. We would then have space for a 24" storage cabinet installed Are all the cuurent tubs made of acrylic?

              A:  Thank you for your inquiry. The recommended drain kits for the K-1184-96 are K-7161-AF (Clearflo Adjustable Pop-Up Drain), K-7213 (Clearflor cable bath drain with PVC tee and pipe), K-7214 (Clearflo cable bath drain without PVC tee or pipe), or K-7259 (Clearflo toe-tap bath drain). Finish would need to be specified at time of ordering.

                A:  Thank you for your inquiry. No this tub is not a platform tub, this is an apron front skirted tub meant for alcove installation. If you are looking for a drop in tub, Kohler suggests ordering model #1184-0 which will not that the integral apron on the front.

                  A:  Hello Donna and thank you for your question. You will not be able to deck mount the faucet to this tub; the KOHLER Devonshire 5 ft. Bathtub requires a wall mount installation only. Best wishes on your project.
