          Answer This Question

A:  Hello Luke, my name is Kassi with Kohler Co. I'd be glad to answer your question. If the faucet is leaking either from a drip from the spout or by the handles, the valve would need to be replaced. To remove the valve, pop off the plug button on the top of the handle which then reveals a screw. Remove the screw and pull of the handle. The valve will then unthread and you can install the new one. Thank you for choosing Kohler.

A:  Hi Chloe, this is Sarah with Kohler Customer Service. I am glad to address your question. There is a round plug button (cap) on the end of the handle, facing out. This can be pried off using a thin flat blade screwdriver or file, being careful to protect the finish. Once the cap is removed, it will expose a Philips screw which can be removed to remove the handle. For additional assistance, please call our team at 1-800-4KOHLER (M-F; 8am-5pm CST). Thank you for choosing Kohler.

                Answer This Question

A:  Hi Joshua, this is Lisa with Kohler Co. I am glad to answer your question. If the plug button and screw have been removed there is nothing else that is holding the handle in place. The handle will pull off for removal at that point. Depending on the age or water quality, there may be mineral build-up that is making it difficult to remove. I would recommend soaking the handle in a white vinegar and water solution (50/50 mixture). You can soak a soft cloth or towel in that solution and then wrap that around the handle itself. You can continue to re-saturate the towel, every several minutes. After this has been done, the handle should pull right off. Thank you for choosing Kohler.
