A:  The flats are ground true, but this may not be a good long term solution- the aluminum webbing is no more than 3/32” and the level itself has no heft, despite the heavy-duty designation. I would suggest a CRS ground straight-edge or machinists level ($$$$). Otherwise, this is a good spirit level for rough framing.
