Q:My finished opening is 59 1/4". The specs state the doors will fit an opening of 30-30 3/8", which for two needs an opening = 60- 60 3/4. I want to believe, but how will two of these doors fit into an opening of 59 1/4"?

Answer This Question
A: Thank you for your inquiry. The doors are 30" with a 1/4" prefit making them 29 3/4". The finished opening needs to be 1/4" wider than the door, so a 30" bi-fold needs a 30" finished opening. For your opening of 59 1/4", you can trim up to 1/4" from the edge of each door to get to the desired width, or you can reach out to your local Home Depot to discuss ordering options to get you a door unit that will meet your application requirements.
