        A:  The unit will be too large for your opening. Your opening needs to be 1/2" bigger to fit the frame size of the unit you are installing.

          A:  Hadn't really considered it, but I just checked and it doesn't seem there is anything in the design that would prevent this from working. Maybe the weep holes?

            A:  Thank you for your inquiry. No this unit is designed to be installed vertically . If installed horizontally this will not function properly.

              A:  Hadn't really considered this but I just checked and I don't see anything that would prevent it - should still slide pretty well. However, it is designed to drain water away from the bottom edge only with a sloped edge and presumably weep holes. If the window is protected from rain, say by a pronounced overhang, it might work OK. And the counterweight cords would be more exposed than you might want.
