A: No. It is NOT. I a bronze finish window and it showed up with a WHITE interior side. It is absolutely atrocious and obviously does not match the windows on the rest of my building. I am SO disappointed!

Q:In other words: Can I order it without a nailing flange? My exterior is brick, so the nailing flange would be useless and obtrusive.

A: Yes. You can order the 2500 series in a block frame. (But you'll have to do it at the store)

A: I simply scored the fin base with a razor knife and snapped them off. My application: replacement of wooden sash windows in 80 year old house. The 35.5 x 47.5 dimension of the new windows was a perfect fit for the existing frame in which the old sashes slid (which was 36 x 48). Simply removed old sashes and slid new window in, caulked and added a bit of trim around the inside.

A: Nailing flanges are usually considered "new construction" windows that are installed directly on the opening by nailing in. You might want to look for "replacement" windows, those do not have the nailing flange and fit withing the rough opening of the window frame and held in differently than nailing to the outside of the window frame.
