It does not qualify as an egress window. A:  This is NOT an egress window. R310.2.1 states that opening must be at least 20" net clear width and have a minimum opening of 5.7 sq ft.

A:  Thank you for allowing us to assist you today. This particular window comes standard with glass unit configuration including: 1 lite of Low-E 366, 1 lite of clear glass. Internal grid (for use as shadow bar), and applied Simulated Divided Lite (SDL) bar. The grid is located inside the sealed insulated unit of glass and not removable. The applied SDL bar is adhered to the interior and exterior of the window glass with heavy duty tape and is intended to be permanent. If you would like this window without internal grid bar and SDL, please make alternate selection or use our special order catalog in stores. Please visit a Home Depot store near you and allow a millwork associate to assist you in quoting and/or ordering what you need via the special order catalog.

A:  Yes, the grids are encased in this product.

A:  Thank you for your interest. This v4500 vinyl casement window has only the exterior visible surfaces painted bronze while the interior remains standard brilliant white color. The interior surfaces are not able to be painted.
