Q:what is the difference between the V-2500 & the V-4500 ??? JELD-WEN windows

A:  Thank you for your inquiry. The 2500 has a smaller frame depth and the look of the vinyl is more or a flat look while our 4500 has a deeper frame depth and has more of a contoured look. As well as the 4500 has upgraded options from the 2500.

    A:  For which sized window? The various sizes share questions and feedback. If you look at the specs pdf next to the "product overview" section, you'll see a diagram with frame measurements. Subtract that from the windows size and you'll have your answer.

                A:  I dont think so. They come with a nailing fin. Also, mullion strips only work on double hung windows. These do not open within the frame. one piece of glass in a frame. Hope this helps.

                A:  I am pretty sure you could put these side by side but some sort of framing between the windows would be necessary to make a tight and solid fit. I don't think it would be wise to screw them together in my opinion.

                Q:Sorry for the repeat- I asked this question a couple days ago, but not sure if I got the right answer. The question was "what is the RO for a 24 x 24 fixed vinyl window?" I was told it was 1/2" more so the rough opening for a 24 x 24 is 24.5 x 24.5. Yet, when one scrolls down to the sizes to select the desired one, the 24 x 24" size states 23.5 x 23.5. And all the other sizes are also 1/2 " less than stated in the item description at the top of the page (a 48 x 48" window is stated as 47.5 x 47.5" when scrolling down to the sizes). So, does that mean that a 24 x 24" window which is actually sized 23.5 x 23.5" needs a RO of 24 x 24" ? Thanks for your assistance.

                A:  Thank you for your inquiry. If your Rough Opening is 24x24, the unit frame size needed is 23.5 x 23.5. The unit attached to your question does say 24x24, and in the more specific information says 23.5 x 23.5. So if you were to measure the unit itself it is going to measure 23.5x23.5 and the RO it should fit in is a 24x24. Hope this answers your question.
