          Q:Does "right handed" refer to the handles or the direction of the swing? I need an outward swing to the right (from interior looking out). illustrations for left handed and right handed are the same and neither shows swing.

                  Q:For the 30 x 30 window, what is the actual size of the OPENING, not the size of the window itself. I would like to use it as an egress window if at all possible. It must have a 820 sq. inches opening for that.

                      A:  Technically Yes, But I am not sure how well the opening mechanism would hold up due to the weight being distributed differently than it was designed. What your looking for is called an Awning Window. I am not sure if Jeld Wen sells them in the 24x24 size. I have a 24 x 48 that I like very much for the same reason you are looking for. it can be all the way opn and no rain will come in unless it was very windy.
