A:  This is a battery powered sconce so it is not able to be hardwired. It is designed to be "temporary lighting" for optimal portability, changeability and ease. The sconce's installation is similar to hanging a picture. The 5-LED backplate contains 6 AA batteries. When the backplate is turned on, timer mode (4 hours on / 20 hours off) is automatically instated. It can also be maually shut off if desired.

A:  l have not experienced that, I turn on the light and it goes off by itself, however mine does not come on by itself. Try taking the batteries out and perhaps that will reset the mechanism.

A:  No it doesn’t have a remote BUT it has a built in timer! What time you turn it on , it will go on at that time and turn off after 4 hours. Example: if you go over and push the button at 5:00 pm. It will turn on automatically everynight at 5:00 and go off automatically at 9:00.pm, So at 5:00 pm every night it will go on at the same time and go off at the same time. .
