A: Hello, The Ironite Plus 12-10-10 is not labeled for use in potted plants. Please check with the Home Depot garden department to find a product labeled for this type of use. Thank you.
A: Hello, An option you might want to consider would be the Ultragreen All Purpose Plant Food 10-10-10 (SKU# 354-752). Thank you
A: Hello, We would recommend applying 1/4 pound (about 1/2 cup) of the Ironite Plus 12-10-10 uniformly under the blueberry bush. Slowly water it in until the soil is well saturated. Thank you
A: Clemson experimental suggests 1 cup of fertilizer distributed in a circle 3 feet from the base of a mature bush starting in early spring. Wait 6 weeks before applying again. Do not fertilize after June 1 . Hope this information is helpful.
A: Ps. Forgot to mention the magic of "potash" I use to do this in winter when cleaning out my fire place. Wood ash really sweetens fruit!
A: Hi clarence, I'm Travis from The Home Depot. Thanks for visiting our site. A large blueberry plant should receive about 1 cup (8oz.) of Ironite Plus evenly distributed on the soil within the dripline of the plant in the spring. A second feeding in very late Spring is also advisable. Thank you for asking, -Travis
A: Hello, Typically the three numbers listed on the front of a bag of fertilizer are the "NPK." In the order they are printed Nitrogen (N) if the first number, followed by Phosphorous (P) and finally Potassium (K). Nitrogen promotes rapid growth of new shoots and leaves and is essential for overall quality and density. Phosphorous promotes root growth and aids in the plant's ability to use and transfer energy. Potassium enhances overall health and vigor of plants. Ironite Plus 12-10-10 not only contains Iron (which is essential for proper greening of plants and lawns) but also the key nutrients your plants will need. Thank you
A: Nitrogen / Phosphorus / Potassium . N/P/K. The numbers represent the percentage per bag. Ex. A ten lb. bag of 12-10-10 would contain 1.2 lbs. of nitrogen, 1 lbs. of phosphorus, 1 lb. of potassium. The numbers always keep the order of N/P/K. Further micronutrients may be listed in trace amounts on back of package not indicated in these numbers. Happy Gardening!
A: 12%nitrogen(N) 10%phosphorus (P)10% potassium or potash (K)
A: Ahh, gardenias , possibly the perfect shrub. Dark green evergreen leaves, aromatic beautiful flowers fill the air with their amazing fragrance! These beauty's like lots of organic matter in their soil, which not only provides good drainage but lots of micronutrients making Ironite Plus a perfect choice for gardenias. Clemson recommends fertilizing in mid March and again in late June. Clemson cautions against fertilizing in the fall.
A: Hello, Ironite 12-10-10 can be used as a plant food for gardenias. We do recommend applying it after spring growth has started to get the best benefit. Thank you
A: YES! By all means, that is one of the reasons I buy it. Especially the Froastproof variety of gardinias.
How can we help?
