Q:How long would it take to dismatle the pool for the winter.
by|Jul 26, 2015
1 Answer
Answer This Question
A: Yes, it is actually recommended to disassemble and store for the winter to prolong the life of the pool.
After draining the pool, dry the pool liner completely (100%). Next sprinkle talcum powder on the liner to prevent vinyl from sticking together and to absorb any moisture you may have missed. Roll the pool liner to avoid creases and relocate it to the storage area you've chosen. Place it in the original carton, if you saved it. Keep all of the parts together including the filter pump, manual, and pool, and then place in an area that will remain at room temperature throughout the storage season.

Answer This Question
A: All Intex above ground pools are not recommend to winterize if your temperatures drops below 41 degrees preventing ice damage to the pool and related components. Ice damage can result in sudden liner failure or pool collapse. If the temperature is above 41 degrees our above ground pool manuals have instructions on how to proceed with winterizing.
