A:  The back is made from 100% solid rubberwood, same as the entire piece. The drawer bottoms and sides are rubberwood hardwood plywood, so they are the same wood but a different construction. The drawers are well made with English dovetail construction and metal ball bearing drawer guides. Features reinforced corner blocks on the legs as well. We take great pride in our solid wood, heirloom quality furniture!

                  A:  Heighth is 1 7/8, width is 17 inches and 11 1/4 inches front to back all inside measurements.

                    A:  They are more shallow then I expected. 2” deep, 17” wide, 11.5” in length.
