    A:  If this control dinner is set up with an Insteon system, then it can be used as a dimmer for lights, but not for a ceiling fan motor. A ceiling fan motor has 3 speeds, and cannot be adjusted. So for that, you'd need a compatible dimmer and/or system that would work for it. Joseph
