A: The keypadlinc controls one light/circuit directly (via upper-left button). The other buttons can be programmed to signal other controllable switches - so if you want to control 8 different sets of lights you will need the keypadlinc plus 7 other controllable switches.
If you already have non-controllable switches on the other lights you'd need to swap them with controllable switches; they will then be able to be controlled from their direct switches and/or the selected button on the keypadlinc.
