Q:When we push the button, there?s a click in the box under the sink, but the disposal doesn?t work. It?s been suggested that there could be a hole in the bellows, but would we hear the click, if that were true? The unit is 5 years old.

A:  Hi Chuck! Thanks for reaching out to us. You're probably surprised that your sink-top switch does not activate your disposal. The unit may have overheated and must be reset. Here's a brief reference: https://bit.ly/2CamA2e. If that doesn't work, please contact us at https://support.insinkerator.com/app/ask to find out what exactly is causing it.

A:  Hello Drew! Thanks for your question. Based on what you've described, it appears that you've installed it correctly. The stainless-steel washer and rubber gasket are placed between the push button and the top of sink counter. A:  Hi Linda, we're glad you asked. Yes, you will need the SinkTop Switch Dual Outlet Kit if you want to convert from a wall switch. The model is STS-OOSN (includes 1 satin nickel push button): https://thd.co/3K0irAH. You can purchase the push button separately if you want to use a different finish. If your existing disposer is not corded, you'll need to purchase a power cord kit, model CRD-00.

A:  This button works with air pressure. You need the kit. And you need an outlet under the sink.

A:  Thank you for your question, Linda. The SinkTop Switch is only an alternative to a wall switch. There's no need to convert if you already have a wall switch installed.

A:  Hi Rehmann, thanks for your question. Yes, this is compatible with any InSinkErator garbage disposer. The Sink-Top Air Switch Push Button only includes the button and the cover that goes around the sink top switch button. If you want to use a SinkTop Switch, you'll need to buy the whole kit and this button can be used to replace the button that's included in the SinkTop Switch Kit.
