A: Bruce, We don't recommend it, but you can cut the height and would be cheaper option than a custom door. Just make sure whomever does it is skilled and has the right tools. You will need to remove, cut, and recreate the hardware preps with a drill bit, and replace the hardware on the top edges. Thank you

Q:Can recessed cabinet handle pulls be installed in the mdf doors? They need to be notched out in the doors, correct?
by|Feb 7, 2024

Answer This Question
A: ellen, Yes you will just need to rout out the area where you want to install the recessed pulls. Usually the hardware comes with a template for the routing. Keep an eye out in the near future as we are introducing a whole new line of recessed pull options for our MDF doors. Thank you.

Q:Do the 72x96 bypass doors weigh 90 lbs each or for the pair
by|Nov 19, 2023
1 Answer
Answer This Question
A: MamaD, The weight listed is for the entire unit. Just remember that once they are installed, they wont feel like you are moving a 45 pound panel thanks to our patented hardware that provides silky smooth operation. The weight is a bonus as you will feel the quality and you won't feel like you have cheap light hollow core doors in your home.Thank you.

Q:With a concrete subfloor, do I install the bottom track before or after carpeting?
by|Oct 3, 2023

Answer This Question
A: Kbw9, This is a tough question as several factors are at play. If it is a low-pile carpet, you definitely should go over the carpet and you can use masonry screws or even use an adhesive. If its a high-pile or "shag" carpet you have to decide if its will be too soft to properly secure the track to the carpet , then you may want cut the carpet to the edge of the track (on both sides if your going into the closet) and then go right to the floor with screws or adhesive.
