Q:What's the difference between this model and Model #SP4-14484C?

Answer This Question
A: RobK,
They are both sliding doors 144 x 84 (4 panel) and both have chrome tracks top and bottom. The S294- has a frame all the way around the mirror and it actually becomes the handle that you open and close the door by. The SP4- has a more framless look as the aluminum frame and backer are on the back side of the panel you will never see. Its a matter of preference which style you prefer. Sidenote, if the door will take a beating, like in a kids room I would suggest the S294- as the frame adds a little more durability. Great question, Thank you.

Q:Please help me understand the difference with these doors. Are there choices of Solid or hollow doors which I see stated when you do a comparison? What does this item mean by "with gasket"? Thank you.

A: Deb, The gasket is a rubber insert that you cant see but helps the glass sit nice and tight in the frame and prevents rattlng. Our Impact Plus doors are solid-backed.

Q:My existing closet has 2 doors that are 30" in width, and 80" in height. I would like to purchase these, but I'm sure if the additional 6 inches in width will cause too much overlap. Should I have concerns with that?

A: MG, You will only have 12" of access. These may be too small but if you can live with only 12" of access on either side that a decision you can make. Thank you.

Answer This Question
A: SASHA, Since this is a slider you would need a door that a little larger for your opening. You will need to cut down the tracks. Any good hacksaw or a metal blade on a power saw will do the job. You will also have a little extra overlap in the middle but most folks dont really care about that since the alternative is a more costly custom-sized unit. I would go with the 48" unit (Cut and paste any of these into HD.com search box-->Internet #207114797Model # S292-4880WStore SO SKU #1001825183) and you should be fine. Thank you.
