Q:Does the sensor have to be completely exposed in order to work? I want to install the sensor on the inside of a storage closet, placing it right in the seam/crack of the door

    Answer This Question

A:  The sensor has to "see" the area you want to protect. It will not work just through a gap, it will not work through glass, wood, or any wall.

      Answer This Question

A:  When triggered, the siren (alarm) will ring for 25 seconds and stop, ready for next detection. If the motion is still there, the siren will ring again for 25 seconds and so on. You can turn it off physically by sliding the ON/OFF switch to OFF. The ON/OFF switch is in the receiver, no switch in the sensor. Check out the instruction on our website idealinc.com

A:  Yes, there is an ON/OFF switch in the alert unit, no switch on the sensor.

            by|Sep 8, 2020

A:  Yes, there is an ON/OFF switch on the receiver. You have to physically near the receiver and turn it off, at that time, you probably already trigger the sensor and the receiver is sounding already.

A:  The detection range is written on the "Product Overview": The sensor’s viewing angle covers an arc of 45 degrees and detects motion at a distance of 5-8 meters (16-26 feet).

A:  According to the specification guide of model #SK602, the motion sensor can detect motion up to 26 ft. away, and has up to 45 degree detection width. Not knowing the width of the property to be monitored, I would recommend you identify prospective locations and take some measurements. Take into consideration a little overlap of each area, just to be on the safe side.
