A:  AA, Our wrenches are completely chrome plated, which stands up very well to the elements. That being said salt water is one of the harshest elements that metals can be exposed to. If the tool is put away dry, and there is some sort of absorbent material (such as a tool box liner, or the Pelican foam inserts) then our wrench should stand up to these conditions.

A:  I doubt if it will rust, but I always lightly coat all my wrenches with a rag sprayed with WD-40 .

A:  I have used this wrench time and time again. So far no rust and yes, it is water proof.

A:  No product can claim to be truly "Water proof", just like no armor is bullet proof. Use common sense and limit the exposure and it should last a long time.

A:  I've had a couple of these experience some issues but only as a result of failure on my end to properly care for them. I've had some of these wrenches in the past that were used in underwater, marine application, and after failing to properly rinse, dry, then treat them, the ratcheting mechanism seized up on wrench, and failed to lock in ratcheting with another. The chrome-plated body of the wrench showed absolutely no rust issues whatsoever. These results are after a 2-week period of heavy use and poor maintenance. If you're being responsible/careful, you shouldn't have any issues with rust.
