Q:Is there a hole for the ball bearing on ratchet to hold the socket from falling off?

          Answer This Question

A:  Robert, there is not a hole all the way through the socket for the ball detent to engage. The through hole is often seen on impact sockets that use a pin and o-ring attachment system. Our standard sockets feature 4 inturnal indents (one on each side square punch) that engage the ball bearing of the ratchet's drive tang to securely hold the socket into place.
