Q:Is there a wall switch for the fan and light that can be used with this fan. Something other then the one that Hunter makes because I keep reading that it breaks easily.

A: You can wire it up using a regular light switch to turn both the fan and the light on. You have to control the fan speed from the pull chain. You can also have it wired with two switches, one dedicated for the fan and one dedicated for the light (again the fan speed is controlled by the pull chain). This is how I have mine wired and it works fine. I am using standard light switches. You could probably use dimmer switches too (which may allow you to control the fan speed as well as dim the lights) but you may need to check the specifications on the dimmer switch to see if it compatible. An electrician will know what to do.

A: Hello Nan, we would only recommend you use Hunter wall switches with our fans. Unfortunately, our fans are not compatible with some brands of wall switches. ~Stacy

A: Hunter has wall switches for the fans. You may have to rewire the wall switch gang box to have the proper functionality i.e., light and fan to work from the same switch.
There are also remote controllers. Check the site URL below:

A: I used 40 to 60 watts--not 100. Though I think the led in a 15-25 watt might be better
