                Q:I will be having a sunroom built with cathedral ceilings finished with painted shiplap. I'm assuming that I will need an extension downrod; is that true, or would this fan fit without one? If I do need one (for clearance of the blades against the sloped ceiling) and the ceiling will probably be about 11' high, is the 3' extension too long when figuring in the height of the fan?

                A:  Hello Barbara, If you have an angled ceiling, you will need a longer down rod (sold separately) and if your ceiling angle is greater than 34°, you will also need an angled mounting kit, which is also sold separately. Have a great day!
