A: I did come with a hose, which you attach to another hose on the vacuum. Combined i would say you are between 8 and 10 feet.

A: I believe it is electric, it's not self propelled if that is what you are asking but the beater bar, or the rotating brushes in the front, move so fast the vacuum pulls nice.
