      A:  I live in a condo apt, so have no idea about what you are talking about.  I find this filter to be good for my needs and have had no issues.

        A:  You have the wrong size filter, the noise is the filter dropping back down after being lifted up by the airflow. Have an HVAC contractor inspect your furnace and install the correct size air filter. Mike

        A:  No one knows. It's fancy manufacturing lingo to confuse the consumer. There are 3 ratings: merv, PFR, and MPR. Depending on who makes the filter, they decide which rating they like to list on the packaging. It becomes difficult to compare. Good luck

            A:  I measured my 30x20x1 filter and found that the 20" dimension measured about 19 3/4" . If the 20x20 were square then I have doubts that it would work in a 21" space.

              A:  FPR is only used by home depot the 3 M company. It is very similar to MERV

                A:  FPR is Home Depot’s rating. I found this online MERV 11 is FPR 7 on these filters

                  A:  No, they are not the same. FPR takes into account MERV and two other performance factors.
