Q:Are the drawers easy glide or wood on wood? And is there a mechanism that stops the drawer from falling out when pulled out?

A: The drawers have metal drawer glides. Although there is no official stopping mechanism the wheels on the drawer glides help keep the drawers in place as long as the chest is level.

A: I really don't know how to explain but it does have slides, it is very well made sturdy have had it for over two years have had not any problems or issues with this chest.

A: Was a bit of a chore to assemble. But it seems well constructed and it's really very nice. We did switch out the handles to make it look even better. I would buy this chest again.
