Q:I need to replace a transition piece Laminate flooring to tile. What is that product. Appears to sit on top of both flooring, glued perhaps?! Will I be able to just remove and install new trim piece between existing if measurement is the same?!

Answer This Question

A:  Thank you for your question. The intended coordinating hard surface reducer for Ember Acacia is the Roppe Lilac (#317120564). How you remove the current trim piece will depend on the construction and installation method. If it is a nail down installation, generally it is reasonably easy to uninstall the trim piece a replace it with something new. A glue down installation can be more difficult to replace. I'd suggest you speak to an associate in the flooring department of your local Home Depot or give our technical services department a call at 877-630-1800.

            Answer This Question

A:  Dear Customer: The manufacture does not recommend installing this floor on an outside deck. Existing home should have a consistent room temperature of 60°F-80°F and relative humidity (RH) of 35%-55%. Continual deviation from these conditions will affect the dimensions of flooring.

A:  I had mine installed over concrete as well but didn’t seal it. It’s been three years and still looks as beautiful as the day it was installed! I get so many compliments on my floor!
