A:  Thank you for your question. The Tacoma Oak quarter round does not have to be nailed in, as it is intended for use with a glue down application. If you do wish to use nails to reinforce the adhesive installation, it is generally advisable to use finish nails so that you can best hide them in the quarter round.

A:  Thank you for your question. The Cottage Chestnut T-molding is intended for either a glue-down or nail down installation. We do not have specific size recommendations.

A:  Thank you for your question. The base of the T-molding is constructed to leave enough space between the connecting floors for the necessary expansion gaps. Generally, the base is around a 1/4th the width of the entire t-mold, meaning this one would be a little under 3/8ths of an inch. This leaves adequate space on both sides for the 3/8ths of an inch expansion gap that is required for Cottage Chestnut.

A:  Thank you for your question. A t-molding's thickness is best read as the thickness of the floor with which the t-mold is intended to work. The actual thickness of the t-mold will depend on its design. It will usually be less than the listed thickness, so that it can sit on the planks without butting up against the subfloor.
