        A:  Grams, Thanks for your question! Most of the time when furniture smells, it is due to the laquor, stain, or paint that is used on the wood not the wood its self. These smells will evaporate over time. You can speed up the process by assembling the product and leaving it in an area where there is fresh air, but no moisture is getting to it. You can also wipe it down with a moist cloth and a gentle detergent depending on the cleaning instructions from the manufacturer. Thank you for choosing The Home Depot!
